True Stages was founded in New York City in June 2011, and launched in Jan 2012, with the purpose of presenting inspiring and thought provoking theatrical productions that help people to connect with the healing and liberating power of Jesus Christ. We have great things in store and you can be a part of making it all happen!



Many people witnessed the great success of our  community building events, our open mics about various real life topics (love, heartache, identity, racial stereotypes, humor, hopes, dreams, etc.), and our sold out 2012 stage productions- CHAINS by Shamirrah Hardin and GEORGIA by Fariso Jordan. We produced a powerful revamped version of CHAINS in 2013 and this summer we will training up praise dancers to ministering to the community at various events. We have been receiving so many compliments about how powerful, moving, and amazing our theatrical performances have been, how enjoyable it has been to mingle with other artists, and how meaningful it has been to dissect the topics of the performances (unhealthy relationships, obsessions/addictions, date rape, etc.) with performers and other audience members! People have been moved to tears by our productions and the depth of the experiences that take place during and after our shows! We would love to keep bringing you more of this, but we need help from people like you.



We are currently a traveling company. However, your donation will allow us to acquire our own space for rehearsals, performances and classes (acting, dancing, pantomime, etc.). It will also help us to cover the cost of marketing and advertising. Many of our New York City family and friends are on board, as well as many of our friends in cyberspace. Our community is clearly excited and eager to see this company grow and continue producing work.
